Joe Carabini………………………………..Velocity 1572.9 Seamus Neary’s winning pigeon today is a cock bred down from his Foxwood stock. The breeding of which is Frans Van Meldert crossed with G.P. Lindelauf. Both parents of this winning pigeon were great performers for Seamus, with the sire winning two young bird and two old bird races one of these from Bude. The dam was the winner of three young bird races and then returned from a race as a yearling injured (blinded) and was retired to the stock loft where she has excelled. From left: Seamus Neary, Declan Wilson (Dungarvan winner) and Paddy Mc Cabe. The secret to Seamus Neary’s success! Seamus’s winning velocity today would have been 2150, only the winning pigeon lost valuable time in trying to trap into the back door of the van (pictured) which is where he spends more time than his own loft !!!!
