yeboah Posted July 5, 2011 Report Posted July 5, 2011 With no birds entered in the weekend races i made good use of the sunny conditions and reverted back to what i used to do in the early seventies as a young lad ,wash out the loft until it was spotless ,used to enter the birds in the race on a Friday night then return home and along with my late mother god bless her we would scrub out the loft ready for the birds return on a Saturday ,so armed with a new pressure washer i set about removing every piece of dirt and dust from my 42 foot apex loft finishing it of midday Sunday ,i just moved the birds from section to section and they were not bothered about a little shower ,end result looks as if the loft had just been newly erected and the beautiful mahogany stain job the neighbours done years ago is replaced to its former glory just like a picasso ,it is a pleasure to enter the loft and something i will repeat more often weather permitting
