lightning fast Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 im working on the piper bravo 140mls north east of aberdeen, 2 birds have been here since yesterday, managed to get them to drink, and of they went, and they didint half drink, hope they are on there way now, supprised they were out here!! with the winds having a bit of east here all week....

Blue w/f has made it but the red ceq is still hanging around, but whats worse , I have seen a sparrow halk sitting on the rig!!!!!!!!!!! manage to scare it off, feels like im back home......

john cumming Posted June 11, 2011 Report Posted June 11, 2011 im on shearwater platform 135 miles east of dundee just now, the weather has helped them with a east north easterly hopefully helping them back to the beach?? just the time of year to see the racing pigeons offshore, dont know if you lads are allowed to carry the birds in on the chopper, they are not keen in the central field to take them by chopper, have put them in on the supply boat & the stand by boat from here, they are more than often totally flown out and need help to get back, we have a sparrow hak here as well but not if i get ma hands on it, we had an osprey sitting on the corner of one of our life boats last week, what a size oh a thing??? john
