i own and hunt a male harris hawk.and he will never hunt or catch any racing pigeons

if you have time for both then thats good but what happens when the hunting season starts.are you going to time your pigeons then go out and hunt your hawk.better going out early with your hawk.and get someone else to time your birds unless you use ets.to do both you must have plenty spare time on your hands :D

If I had my way I would bann hunting with hawks completely. The question I would like answered is:- what possible pleasure can there be in watching hawks killing things, that are not to be eaten, for the fun of it? Cruelty for cruelty sake surely can not be right. If I had my way I would make the people who follow the cruelty road fight as Gladiators in the way the Romans had it. Those who live by this code should know exactly how it feels to fight for there lives against seriously big odds.

wouldn't miss timing in the birds for any thing and i usually don't start serious hunting until the end of September mainly do allot of fitness work after the moult up until then

and as far as a Harris hunting pigeons IMO its an utter impossibility as a doo would out fly even the fittest hawk. and its mainly fur i hunt as most of my permission is short on feather species that a harris could take
