A m8 of mine works at the BP in Grangemouth,last week he was up 1 of the cooling towers and there is a percy nest and he said the ledge below was full of pigeon legs with rings on 1 dating back to 96.this is where our racers end up.

they have been there for years pat and prob taken 1000,s of our birds over the years bassas

There is also a breeding pair at the chapelcross nuclear plant in dumfriesshire and even the workforce are not allowed near them during the breeding ,worlds gone crazy man .

I think it's well known to the local fanciers that there are peregrines in BP Grangemouth. When I first joined the club, a member told me about them, that they are watched, at that time that part of the Plant was fenced off, so workers couldn't get near them.

 

Interesting to hear about Chapelcross, the Nuclear Power Station at Innerwick on the East Coast is also said to have them nesting in window ledges on the Plant.

Yep worked there on and off for years working on shutdowns and new plant constructions the pair there usually nest near the power station there is also a pair nesting on B.P kinneil plant which is only a mile along the road there is also a pair across the water breeding on Longannet power station fookin everywere :emoticon-0179-headbang:

watched one at longannet today pick a pigeon out the sky as cute as you like , they have been here for years

They used to nest on Kincardine power station but moved to the Gannet when they demolished it also a pair on the fourth rail bridge, Mossmoran, hunterston nuclear power station, in the quarry just outside beith Falls of clyde Lanark and the clyde valley near the garrion bridge
