Guest jackie Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Hi everyone,A pigeon landed on my balcony this afternoon with a tag on its left foot UK EE 2242. I have had a look on some different sites and cant find anything about a UK prefix, its all mostly GB. Does anyone know anything about this tag? Also, what I know about pigeons you could write on the back of a postage stamp! Have put him in a plastic cat box that I take cats to the vet in and lined it with newspaper, leaving door off incase he wants to fly off. Have fed rice and lentils and watered him, he looks knackered! Will he be ok outside like this tonight? Its quite cold and wet here in sunny Glasgow! Worried that he wont be warm enough, but cant bring him in as I have 2 cats. Any help / advice would be great. Thanks.

Guest Jackie Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 Hi, am pleased to report that pigeon flew off at 6 o'clock He must have just needed a bite to eat and a wee snooze! Thanks to everyone who replied. I must admit i don't really like pigeons (sorry everyone!) but he was quite sweet, I called him Dave and was sorry to see him fly off! I hope he gets home safe and sound. Bye Dave
gulkie Posted March 10, 2011 Report Posted March 10, 2011 don't cheer yet Jacky he /she is a homing pigeon and you feeding itit may be back to-night
shweet Posted March 11, 2011 Report Posted March 11, 2011 I doubt it was a racing pigeon. That rings an NPA ring so was more than likely a fancy pigeon.
