Hi all im not sure when to start training. My birds were locked up most of the winter, they have been out for the last 3 weeks or so. I fly natural, the the last few days the hens and some of the latebreds have been flying for nearly an hour, and the cocks about 30 minutes and some a little longer. My first race is april 9th. I was just wondering when will be best to start training. Thanks for reading and look forward to any replys. Mass

easily wait till 2/3 weeks before 1st race

I'd let them loft fly, that will raise their levels of fitness without them having to run the gauntlet in early training. Ideally you want temps around 13C and a bit of green on the trees before you take them down the road for 2 or 3 x 20/30 miles spins before the 1st race - its a long season, don't throw birds away before it's even started..
