just ask me Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 just have been looking back through the posts and it seems that one or two here are useing this site like a advertiseing page to sell there birds is this right and should pll be limted to the amount of birds they put on sale here we all know who they are lol
jimmy_84 Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 i thought that people selling birds on here had to donate to the site to help with the cost of running thing's and if not that should be the case
retired Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 i think it should be subject to a donation for each sale or at least a annual nominal donation
ChrisMaidment08 Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 or sell them for charity moneys pai to this site
just ask me Posted July 31, 2008 Author Report Posted July 31, 2008 yes but studs pay big fees to advertise in the weekly mags and someone can use this for free to advertise we all have seen the posts
Guest Freebird Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 What's the problem! Fanciers like to buy birds from other fanciers and in the end were all big enough and ugly enough ( in my case ) to make our own minds up. Don't meen to sound agrresive or against you as I have enjoyed all your posts and I ain't a racer but really, what is the problem.(wiseman)
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 i think access to the for sale section should be for members who pay an annual fee to the site

ChrisMaidment08 Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 but then that applys to somone selling one bird he will pay same as dealer
cottage lofts Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 anyone can use pigeonsales website for free too. pigeonchat sellers have to pay £25 year to sell on there.
Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 but then that applys to somone selling one bird he will pay same as dealer yeah granted most get alot from this site any way so an annual fee will deter the ones that just come on to sell as its free to do so
just ask me Posted July 31, 2008 Author Report Posted July 31, 2008 but then that applys to somone selling one bird he will pay same as dealer chiss u are picking me up wrong what i am saying if u look back through the posts some pll just use this place to benifit them selves and use this place like a advertiseing agency its notting to do with costs not what this thread about its just this is a place to have a chat and sell a odd pigeon its not to bad now but u look at the weekly mags and the amount of ads in them we could end up with the same here
p charlton Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 people should not have to pay to if they have birds for sale if they want to give something to the site its fine its not if it costs a grate deal of mony to run a forum dont the bmw have out lays such as wages and other stuff
Guest Freebird Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 yes but there pll on here selling a few birds and contribute geatlly to the site no problem with this but shouldent this site be about helping one another and not for one or two who are pracailly studs now on here just constally selling birds Yep, well it's up to the members to ignore these dealers ( non pigeon men ) and they will go somewhere else to try and make a buck. It surely can only be the un-wary that buy from these people.
p charlton Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 anyone can use pigeonsales website for free too. pigeonchat sellers have to pay £25 year to sell on there. that forum must be used to make cash i have the same type of forum its £60 a year to run
OLDYELLOW Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 I like to see birds for sale who ever there from but if sold i agree a 10% fee to the site would be good as then fair to everyone , i have no intension of selling birds on here, i gave my spares away as was overstocked at my new adress, where i have decided just to concentrated on my distance familys . So my sprinters went after i had a round from them ( some two rounds as one yb on nest ).

Guest racer Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 i always thought it was a site where you could pick up a bird cheap but it seems that the prices of birds have gone way past anything i could afford i am all for selling to help pay the corn bill
ChrisMaidment08 Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 webmaster could do something so only birds from members could be sold
retired Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 that forum must be used to make cash i have the same type of forum its £60 a year to run I think my site cost maybe £100 to set up but i got all the time for web design for free so it makes it easier. Any donations we get on my site are at the minute put into an advertising fund. From what i gather donations from members on here go into a fund to help fanciers in need (correct if wrong) Either way i am happy to donate whether i sell or not and will be doing again this year at Blackpool
just ask me Posted July 31, 2008 Author Report Posted July 31, 2008 webmaster could do something so only birds from members could be sold but it is members here allready
Guest racer Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 or even that you have been a member of the site for atleast 6mths
Guest Freebird Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 yes but there are a good lot of new comers come on here too and to the them when they see fancy ads fancy pictures it gets them and this site is perfect for the young ppl coming on to the site and newcomers to the sport There are plenty "old hands" like yourself to keep them right if they would just take a breath and reveiw the situation. I raced the birds when I was a teen back in the early seventy's. I have come back to the birds ( not racing) I wish! Now I seem to think I am a complete novice as regards present day birds and the money involved. Don't get me wrong there were Belgian birds, mob flyers, awkward B@*tards, money men, couldn't give a F@ck about the birds men and the like ( people don't change do they ) but I really remember the good caring guys prob like yourself who keep the sport alive so it's up to them to keep the novice on track and free from the vultures who invade all our pastimes.
