Guest IB Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 I don't know the answer to your question, the longest I have stilled pigeons eggs is 5 days, but it's something I wouldn't recommend as you can usually get what you want by shuffling 2/3 pairs that are within that 5 days to get a normal hatch. Have a look at this link though, seems to apply to all birds eggs, and some good pointers in it:- http://gallus.tamu.edu/library/extpublications/b6092.pdf
Guest ljb107 Posted February 16, 2011 Report Posted February 16, 2011 5-7 days then fertility starts dropping off. Store them pointy end down and turn a few times a day. Lloyd

THE FIFER Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I remember as a younger lad, our back garden was all hens, and my father used to put 1-2 eggs which were bought from thr local grocers under broody hens and a lot hatches, so could have been old and no turning etc,
