When you get a PM, spam, abusive, etc you can report it to me, this gives me access to who the sender was, what was contained in that pm and times and dates. This means I can get on top of any problems, as we've had a guy spamming pms in the last week or few.

The feature to report your pm was fairly well hidden; just now I've changed the code so that it uses the same button 'Report' as you see to report a problematic post in a topic in the forum.

Photo below shows what I mean.

P.S. Hope fifer doesnt mind me showing you that he once pm'd me :o:P ;D

I've also just setup the Lost & Found forum boards to allow guest posting, that is they dont have to be members to post in there. Might entice a few more to report strays, especially non-fanciers who would have to sign up just to report a pigeon. If there becomes a problem with spam, etc, I'll change it back.

I've just added two new buttons to the forum menu.

'Unread' - Will display a page of topics that you have not read (member must be logged in).

'Latest' - Will display a page of the latest posts to the forum.

Have just updated the forum to the latest version of the forum software.

Changes are mostly; cosmetic, bug fixes, RSS feeds and users can login using their email address rather than username if they wish.

In the last update, I took those two buttons out as they are now linked near to the top of the page anyway.

Could you let me know the address of the page, and any more details, cant seem to find that one :-/

If you haven't noticed already, the other night I updated the forum to the latest version of the software.

The changes are mostly cosmetic (see the quick reply box, and also the poll and reply pages), and bug fixes.

There has been a change to one of the subsidiary files which are used alongside each page and perform functions such as inserting the code when you click on one of the smilies. Your computer will have stored these files in what is called a cache, which just means that it does not have to download them every time you load a new page (faster). However because of this if you still have the old cached files, functions, like the smilies insertion, will not be working. To download the new files to your cache, press the 'F5' key (Internet Explorer/Firefox) when you are viewing any of the forum pages, otherwise you can choose the 'Refresh'/'Reload' option from the menu. You will only need to do this once.
