Would the members on this site please give me their opinion and why on the following:

Would they prefere widowhood boxes side by side. (Box type with two plastic fronts)

                                                      or

Front to back like the German type.

I am thinking of changing, at present i have 16 traditional side by side, but if i purchase Petron German type, i can fit in 24 boxes.

Thanks

Hello Robert,

                      Bad ideal,more boxes usually mean more pigeons,less space.less air.more stress,more medication,the list is endless. :o :o :o

All I can say is I do not like low boxes, mine are foot and half from floor.  Mine were bought second hand and are up and overs from red star lofts.  I have 12 in an 8 x 6 section.  But I do like up and over more and petron ones are pricey but very good.

hi surry flyer...i no were your coming from mate...i used to have the side by side boxes but like you said they take alot of room up...ive bought 24 boxes from woodcraft...12 in each section for rouderbout....but if i had the side by side ones i would only get 2 sets of 4 in my 6ft x 5ft section...only 8 pigeons....but if you do buy the up and over boxes leave a 4 inch gap in between them and put a 4 inch plank of wood in between them to stop the cocks leaning over and fighting with there nebours.....hope this helps... :) :)
