over head wires eg pylons

It was the electric lines.  I have actually managed to get both the low wires around the loft get orange balls and have also dealt with National Grid and got corks put on the single earth wire of the big electric pylons around our lofts.

i asked the maintenance guy that fixes the ones above my loft, he said if i got him some white paint he'd put a mark every foot along the wire. never had a bird hit them.

You could always phone the RSPB and tell them you put a couple of sparrow hawks in the bin last week that flew into the wires !!!!

 

They would re-route the whole flaming cable !!!! By the end of the week !!!!!

jimmy i phoned bt when i moved over here they came and put tie raps on them within a week the boy said they dont cork any more because it was giving them probs. with the wind bringing down the wies i was told the big cable companys only mark cables for wild birds like rare ducts etc i have lost a few to the wires but usualy only after a hawk attak when the panic takes over

we have lots of bt wires to the back and to the side of are lofts.

phoned  BT with in the week had curly threads put on wires;  this was last year.

BT were very helpfull  no birds have hit them since :) :)
