Guest Brian.Duffy Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 i have that program gimp i have no clue how to take the background out and keep the pigeon then put new background. Here are the basics of how to cut the bird out and how to put it onto a back ground, Open up gimp and click file in the top left of the screen and press open. Find a picture of one of your birds and click open. When cutting out a picture of a pigeon click the sizzors icon in the toolbox, then click around whatever object you want to cut out with the mouse. When your cutting always go in the same direction so if going left stay to the left. When you have clicked all the way around the picture and the 2 spots meet press enter and it will start to flash. Now thats done you need to select what back ground you want to put it on. Here is a website that has good pics, you need to save the pictures to your pc. http://uk.images.sea...4&va=sky&sz=all When you have the picture you want click file in gimp up the top left of the page and then click open then find the picture you have downloaded, click on it and it will open in a new window. Now go back to the picture you have just cut out and right click on the picture with the mouse and press edit then click copy visible. Then Put the mouse over the back groud picture you opened in a new window and right click on it and press edit the paste into thats the basics. mess around with everything in the panel and you will soon pick it up. If you need any more help just ask all the best. Brian
