my brother has found a pigeon on the drive way at my mothers house, it has two rings on it legs with what i believe could be tracking numbers?

how do i track these numbers to contact the owner?

just spoke to a woman who couldnt track it but thinks the owner may have reused old tags as the date makes this pigeon 22years old?!

Can you please check the number again it should be something like GB10K 99972 seems if you may have got the numbers all mixed up.

these are all the numbers on the tags?! the pigeon is in the garden but seems to be hiding somewhere!

yes there maybe the numbers but as stated it begins with the prefix Gb then the year then the number , in order to help they have to be in the correct order as they appear on the metal life ring , it may have a rubber band on it but these numbers arent important , if you manage to catch this bird it may be wing stamped still with owners details , in order to do this you need to carefully open the wing up and look at its long wing feathers stamp could be on either wing

where are you from dear, if you could tell us, i am sure one of the local lads will attend to it and do the proper job, thanks for looking after it and getting in , if you have some mixed broth and some water the bird will flourish
