Guest Paulo Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 Well done rodders I bred you good birds but it needs a good pigeon man to fly them. I'm taking orders again for next year. £120 for six lol Rodders gave me a chance along with Vallance lofts by buying birds off me. I'm not a dealer and at the time was skint so I needed to sell some YB's to help me race and I'm just glad they have done well for someone. The same YB's are flying well for me and so far:- 1x 1st club 1 x 2nd club 1 x 1st fed, 1 x 2nd fed, 1xt 7th fed, 2x 8th out of two YB races. I'm awaiting a result from the YB race this weekend but have been telt I should be on the fed sheet by the fed sec again. Our fed only gives positions for the first 10 and at the minute to win our club your having to top the fed which makes the flying exciting I'm the furtherest west loft in our club for races that have mostly strong SW winds. I also give overfly to everyone in our club and the pigeons tend to go over the top on the early races so I', giving away more than 800 yards overlfy to the top man in the club whos won the WDA 4 times so its not easy racing for a young lad who flys on his own and works full time.

Guest Paulo Posted August 9, 2009 Report Posted August 9, 2009 you aint young any more mate :-) :-) keep up the good performances mate. :-) what birds you fly now? Well thats true 28 this year its all over soon lol. Flying all sorts mate. Good birds are good birds strains are just a mans name. The ones rodders are winning with are Gaby Vandies out of Mike Lycetts birds orginally from the stock loft. They have won prizes for me and bred good birds that cross in good with the others I have. The gabys have flown well for me but I'm mainly winning with crosses bred from putting winner to winner. I've brought a lot from entire clearance sales lately that have fed wins etc. The Van Loons seem to bred me decent ones when they are crossed especially with the busschaerts. I have klak janssens, busschaerts, van loons, wildermersch, gabys, Willy Thas, Van Der Rhees, Soojans, Maurice Mattheuws and all sorts. My fed winner off the first race was a busschaert and the second bird which was second fed was bred off a daughter of my good hen which is a wildermersch crossed with a gaby vandy. Also got some good birds off Jimmy Bambling as well. Got the sprint birds cracked I just need to get a channel team going!! I've invested in that by buying some fed winners in an entire clearance and also by buying Phoenix off Stuart Wilcox

Guest Paulo Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Nice one glad they are doing well for you mate.
Guest Paulo Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Just a bit shameless promotion for myself here as well now. This weeks homing world one of my birds is 10th fastest bird in west durham amal in Bob Pinkertons column. Out of 11,000 plus birds Won't crow on to much about it cause the first couple of races are sep libs. But the bloke that has 6 birds the fastest is the top flyer in our club so thats the level of comp I am flying against. If anyones interested I'll be selling sixes for £120.00 again next year. Rodders has won with all three he brought from me. Vallence lofts has won with one of the six he got but the other birds haven't come as well for him due to circumstances beyond the birds control.
