correct loft ventilation ?

Does anyone know the correct ventilation needed for a loft ? I know you are supposed to have one vent at the bottom front of the loft and one at the top back (well I think that's correct ) and would blast cowls be a good idea, I live very close to the sea (about 2 mins walk to the beach) so it can get windy !!

dave if u go 2 search and type in ventilation it will take u to old threads on ventilation m8  ;) hope this helps
