Help With Found Bird In Maryland

A pigeon has taken up residence at our house for the past several weeks.

We feed it and make sure it has access to water. I finally got close

enough to read the band on its right leg. It is an orange plastic band

with just the number "44" on it ( no other letters or numbers). We live

in the Baltimore Maryland area. Can you please help us find out if this guy belongs to anyone?
