Guest Miss melissa Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 So I am new to the Uk, a pigeon walked into my living room last night and made itself at home. Slept on one of my chairs....it's band is black and says NWHU E8513 2010. I tried 01257 421271, is that the right number to be calling? Thanks anyone...
Guest joshdonlan Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 try terry.nwhu@talktalk.net or nwhu@blueyonder.co.uk
Guest miss melissa Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 try terry.nwhu@talktalk.net or nwhu@blueyonder.co.uk will do, thank you. He seems to be fine, drank lots of water, slept a lot. Gave him little bit of rice? all I had around.
Guest miss melissa Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 So what do I do if I get no answer from anyone? one of the emails doesnt exist, and I am not getting anyone by phone. I am not trying to sound impatient, but we happen to be moving house in 2 days, and mr pigeon seems in no hurry to go anywhere today. Thanks in advance for any help!
Guest grizzler Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 it might help if you say where you are,and perhaps a local fancier can be found to look after it until the owner is traced.
Guest purses scale Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 Oops, didnt think of that. I am in Gravesend, I don't mind looking after it, I have him in a giant hamster cage ( hopefully plenty of room) and he's in a quiet spot of the flat sleeping. However, with moving house it's going to get noisy in here and chaotic, and I like pigeons so I dont want to stress the little guy out. Thanks for any help!
Guest miss melissa Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 I called the local association at 01474 533154 and the nice elderly lady said she can't help, she's on her way to hospital. so if there's anyone else?
Guest grizzler Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 ok thanks,in the meantime i will try and get hold of terry and find out the owers details for you. the phone number you have tried is the correct one. steve
Guest miss melissa Posted July 8, 2010 Report Posted July 8, 2010 I tried putting him back on the balcony to see if he will decide to continue on his way, but he will sit outside for 10 mins or so and try to come back in the door, and he just did it again as I am typing this. Is the tall hamster cage ok to keep him in?sorry to ask so many things, no idea of what to do with pigeons, other than toss bread at them in the park.
