Thanks for the replies. I know bert fairly well myself, but what i was looking for was old articles that may have been in paper or magazines.

I will probably ring bert myself on the week end, havent spoken to him in a few months.

No he had to give them up due to ill heath. His sale was at blackpool 2 years ago.

I wasn't at the sale but i can rembember speaking to a guy when he came back from the show.

He told me that Bert stood up and said a few words.he was really cut up over it, supposedely he was almost in tears

Its a shame cause he was a top flyer and one the main Staf Van Reet men in the UK
