budgie Posted June 22, 2010 Report Posted June 22, 2010 For the latest race the Snfc race controllers had to play a waiting game.At the home end and up and down the country conditions were superb with the exception of the high winds at the race point. With most fanciers desperate for a race on the scheduled date it came and went.Eventualy they were liberated on the Monday on what turned out to a disaster with very poor returns and many fanciers in the West part of the country failing to time. One pigeon proved to be well up for the challenge and congratulations this week go to Alex Blyth timing his 2 y old Blue Cock flying 9:23:54 and a velocity of 1202.646.It also looks good to be 2nd Open Lanarkshire Fed and 2nd Sect E within the SNFC.To all the other members well done.22/153 birds1.Alex Blyth :-1202 2.Tam Richardson :-1137 3.John Dougal :-1123 4.&5.Tam Richardson :-1115&1113 6.J.Lawrie&Son :-1079 7.J .Quinn :-1077 Well thats it for another week try and Enjoy your Sport
