This pigeon wandered into our garden yesterday. Came very close to us and was obviously looking for shelter as it wandered into the garage (door open)

 

Have called RPRA and got the owners details. Called first and got the owners wife who sounded really nice and felt like maybe this was going to have a happy ending.

 

The owner has since called me back stating that they are going away in a few days for 2 weeks and are struggling to find a courier to transport the bird. Then went on to ask if there are any pigeon fanciers in the area, if I know of anyone with a truck who is heading his way and then said about driving about 10 miles away from my house and releasing the pigeon.

 

I did hope that this pigeon would have an owner who would care but it seems that he really does not want the pigeon back and is looking for excuses. I could be wrong in this as I am awaiting a call back from him but my hopes are not very high.

Where do you live JANET and where does the owner live,I,m sure a local fancier will look after the bird until its owner gets back off holiday.

Looks like it has all been sorted

 

Spoken to owners wife late yesterday and they have a friend near them who will take the pigeon in.

 

Courier is collecting it from us tomorrow afternoon.

 

Feel much better now just knowing that it is going to get home.
