Blue Tooner Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Had a problem with a members Unikon professional clock when striking off yesterdays race. When I put his clock into the club base station it came up on screen "marked 61 followed by no rings arrived. The member concerned is offshore at the moment but the person who went out to take his clock to the club said that there were 40 birds on his own base station recorded from the race. We then decided to go back to his loft to check and sure enough there were 40 rings arrived all from yesterdays race. I then went back to the club and put his pocket clock in the club base and the 40 birds all appeared on the base display but all had been given an arrival time of Wed 00-00-00 hrs I then printed a race progress which gave each birds their correct times but with a code SC 4. When I tried to transfer his times to our eastcoast software results programme it wouldn't work it only transferred his set time and strike time which were correct. I then added his times manually but it gave his birds an incorrect velocity saying that there was a variation on his clock...really stumped with this one  Anyone had anything like this happen?? or anyone got Dougie Balds phone number?
TOMMY R Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 UNIKON CODE SC4 MEANS LOFT CLOCK HAD NO POWER FOR MORE THAN 5 MINS SO ANY BIRDS ARRIVED WOULD NOT BE CORRECTLY RECORDED

Blue Tooner Posted May 24, 2010 Author Report Posted May 24, 2010 HI BLUE TOONER YES THE TIMES ON THE CLOCK WILL NOT BE CORRECT WHAT ARE YOUR SET & CHECK TIMES SHOWING ON YOUR PRINT OUT UNDER NEHU RULES ANY ETS CLOCK VARYING MORE THAN 3 SECS IS OUT OF BOUNDS & SO DISQUALIFIED HERE ARE SOME COMMON UNIKON CLOCK CODES LCM (LOFT CLOCK MODE) BIRDS ARRIVED WHEN POCKET CLOCK NOT IN LOFT BASE STATION SMALL m AFTER STRIKE TIME MEANS MASTER TIMER WAS MANUALLY SET SC1/SC2/SC3 FAULTY CLOCK CONTACT UNIKON WITH COPY OF MARKING & ARRIVAL REPORTS SC4 THE LOFT CLOCK HAD POWER REMOVED FOR MORE THAN 5 MINS IN THIS SITUATION BIRDS ARRIVED WILL NOT BE RECORDED OR TIMES VARY SC5/SC6 AS SC4 BUT FAULTY CLOCK NEED TO CONTACT UNIKON SC7 BIRD ARRIVED BEFORE POCKET CLOCK PUT INTO BASE STATION HOPE THESE HELP TOMMYThanks for that Tommy. Spoke to Unikon rep tonight, I have to send the members printout to Unikon,, he said as you have stated that his base station was powered down for more than 5 mins.. his set times and strike times were correct but because I had to enter his times manually into our results software I mistakenly put in the wrong master timer time and had his clcok an hour out...oops :( What concerened me was that when I first put his clock into the club base it said no rings arrived and when we went back to his loft and put the pocket clock into his own base the arrival times of his birds were there, then when I tried it in the club base once more the birds were all there but had all been given an arrival time of Wed 00-00-00hrs I then printed a race progress which gave the birds the arrival times that were on his own base but with SC4 on the printout. The week before this same members clock had the code LCM against each arrival but the club member who sees to this guys clock when he is offshore is adamant that he put the pocket clock in the base locked up his loft and left, not returning untill 30 minutes after the birds had arrived and the pocket clock had never been removed from the base at all. Lets hope Unikon can figure this one out as my brain is fried
