Found Pigeon In Welshpool

A pigeon appeared in our garden early evening yesterday and as it was so hot we left doors open & I found the bird in our living room this am. It's injured it's wing & possibly it's foot. I can't get near enough to pick it up as I don't want to distress it unnecessarily so I can't read it's rings. It's got 3, all green, two wide ones & 1 narrower one.

 

It's a pretty bird dark grey speckled back, creamy white wings. I've put chicken food & water down but it's not touching either.

if you contain the bird in a box with food and water the HQ of the Royal Pigeon Racing Associations Magazine is in Welshpool and i'm sure they would pop and collect the bird from you while the owner was saught.

Thanks for the replies. With the help of a neighbour have located owners phone number on the bird's wing & have contacted his wife. He's in the Redditch area. He's away but will ring tomorrow.
