Hi lc,

 

No harm in this cross, a lot of the guys who fly them make this cross. The youngsters will vary on a spectrum from racer type through to Horseman type but lacking crop compared to the sire. If you then back-cross, one of the daughters to the sire or another Horseman cock again, you will get a variety of types but some of them will resemble the Horseman more than others. Hope this helps.

Yes, they are excellent fliers, lots of style, gliding around. Cost, not really very expensive, depends on the quality, obviously, but you can probably get hold of a pair for about £25.

i had some of thoes years back in a spare loft behind our race loft and yeah you right classfeather they a great bird to keep, i only got rid of mine coz i wanted to have more space for the racers if i ever get the chance of some of them again i would most sertanly go for it
