budgie Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 How good a Pigeon was Dettori and has he left anything worth noting.I have been told they are fabulous Old Fashioned Aardens but looks are deceiving and who is winning with them or have they failed to meet your expections.
Guest bakes Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 if my memory serves me well didnt that bird score highly in kings cup two years on the bounce in north road championship club mate of mine was saying somethink about the bird other week over a beer up club dont no if any off spring as been worth while or not but what ive heard the bird in question put in some good performances it self all the best.
Guest spin cycle Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 i think he was bought from louella...and the they bought him back. i know it sounds soft/ silly but i actually feel sorry for that pigeon. he slogged his guts out for his owner and his reward was to spend the rest of his days a prisoner

paddymac Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 I believe Dettori was a part of Louella's £99 for six ybs deals a few years back.
Guest spin cycle Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 IT SAVES THE HAWK EATING HIM MIND very true...coulpled to that he doesn't have to fly huge distances week after week and a 'string' of pretty young hens...perhaps its not so bad
retired Posted May 11, 2010 Report Posted May 11, 2010 Think my understanding is that Invincible Dettorri as mentioned was bought as a £99 for 6 baby, i think year 1 from NRCC Lerwick he was prized in the top 10 of the Open (Possibly incorrect but not too far off) and then second year he was 1st Open NRCC Kings Cup Lerwick (High 400 miles) Massarella bought him back for a generous price from Ray Johnson - Ray is a very small team flyer based in Nottinghamshire.
