Cooleflyer Posted April 5, 2007 Report Posted April 5, 2007 Hey there everyone, I have some tumblers who decided to nest on the floor of the loft, I saw the built nest with two eggs in it. I noticed the following day that the had picked up the nest, eggs and all and moved it to a spot about two meters away, is that unusual? I kept an eye on the eggs and as one hatched i noticed that one had gone missing. A day or two later I found this egg, cracked open with a near full term chick inside, out in the flight. Would this chick have been dead in the shell and the parents removed it from the nest or whats going on???
THE FIFER Posted May 23, 2007 Report Posted May 23, 2007 if the chick was dead its possible they moved it out as they do with the empty shells.
