Ali Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 Hi All Need Yr help,, i have got a roller pigeon dat is apsolutly mad, it rolls so much so dat it keep smacking onto the ground or the roof....its gonne split it head one of these dayz.. n i know its not yr normal roller...caz they dont roll mad like dat....its another bread of roller 4 sure,....its rolls are perfect and r deep and very fast...spinning action... the bird its self is quite small than the normal pigeons...this partucular bird is AERC rung... Am trying to get some rolling shots on my phone, but its too fast 4 me.... any1 know what sort of roller it iz...?

bewted Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 keep it for stock breeding,but,mate it to a poor rolling roller and young should even themselves out by not rolling as much,if it was mine,i would put it in stock loft and keep it there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ted

HER FULL SISTER KILLED IT'S SELF WHEN SHE HIT THE HOUSE ROOF MESSY!!
nipper Posted July 15, 2007 Report Posted July 15, 2007 Do Tumbler men have competitions ? If so ,what constitutes a good Tumbler ? I dont know much about Tumblers ! But I would have thought a Tumbler that hits the roof or the ground is tumbling too much ?????

rosebowl Posted July 26, 2007 Report Posted July 26, 2007 hi aerc is all england roller club so it should b a birmingham roller unless its a half bread try keeping it on its own and only feed it 1 table spoon of feed 50% wheat50% barley try the 3 day method let out 1st day and give it a full spoon 2nd day 3 quaters of a spoon keep in 3rd day half keep in 4th day let out then repeat same again some of my rollers rolled down this was because they were 2 fit i was flyin them 2 times a day every day they were flyin 4 2-3 hours but with the 3 day mothod they fly for 45 mins -1hour try it and see let me no how you get on cheers das

barlbyloft Posted July 30, 2007 Report Posted July 30, 2007 its a american spinner mate had some when i was a lad i had two die after hitting the ground,you need to fly them with tipplers so they get the hight before spinning. i got some tipplers and put with mine and they did ok after that it was great watching them they spin like mad.must admit thoe not seen any for years now, hope this helps mark

DOVEScot Posted July 31, 2007 Report Posted July 31, 2007 Quite common among rollers, just put in stock as suggested before it kills itself, had one years ago that went right through a neighbours greenhouse roof, not a scratch but cost me a new pain of glass and a pi#### off neighbour. another problem if it does it out of sight then it becomes easy prey.
