Guest shadow Posted February 26, 2006 Report Posted February 26, 2006 all sales can go ahead as long as they have a licence from DEFRA, that is what our club was told.

I aint got the time, will, nor inclination to go wading through pages. I had information which I thought SOME people MAY find of interest, so I put it on. If it don;t suit, then don't read it - I'll sleep tonight no worries! Boing Boing Mike

(2) I was the ONLY person to answer your query AND tell it as it is. (3) there's lots of misinformation about including one that obviously gave rise to your Folkestone query.

debonair.pidjin Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 23 Febr 2006 (Romania) Deadly H5N1 virus confirmed in a pigeon in southeastern Romania The deadly H5N1 strain of bird flu virus was confirmed in a pigeon found in an isolated part of Constanta province in southeastern Romania. " This pigeon was found dead in a field, a few kilometres from Topraisar where bird flu was detected on February 14," the agriculture ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. Hi Mike, that is just some bullshit from our newspapers. They just love this kind of news, it 'wows' the people. That "pigeon" was a collared dove(which isn't too related to our pigeons). Picture here: http://birdsofsanibel.free.fr/images/20040411/Eurasian%20Collared%20Dove.jpg Because of that we now have to keep our pigeons locked in the lofts, and I don't know for how long. :-/ So, for now, we still don't have a clear confirmed bird flu in PIGEONS, and I hope it will remain this way.
speedbird Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 is everyone now leaving there birds in? & told to do so by who?
Guest jason Posted February 27, 2006 Report Posted February 27, 2006 I'm not locking my birds in, I haven't heard a thing about keeping them in.???????? :-/
