200 mile Challenge/replacement birds

I am putting thid as an extra thread in case some people don't read the main one.

 

One or two of our members have lost their nominated birds in training.

 

What are the members feelings in relplacement birds being entered up to the time racing commences.

 

It's your race so you decide please.

I THINK IT SHOULD BE A NO AS IT IS A LOT HARDER TO PICK THEM BEFORE THEY START TO SHOW SOME FORM IF IT IS A YES CAN ALL THE MEMBERS CHANGE THIER BIRDS 2 WEEKS BEFOR THERE RACE OR IS JUST THE ONES THAT HAVE LOST THERE BIRDS

I think if you are going to let them change birds you should let EVERYONE  change our season has started and my birds nominated I think as long as they are nominated before 1st race ok till race day but once races start you shouldnt be able to change

Sorry Bewted, I can't count your yes vote, as you don't have birds entered in the challenge

As far as I am concerned its is a Yes but under certain restrictions, as long as Hyacinth has no objections to these..

 

1. That every member competing forwards Hyacinth the date of the race in question.

 

2. That each members replacement ring numbers for only lost or injured birds, be with Hyacinth no later than the Monday prior to liberation. Any later than this and the member in question will be forced to compete with their original listed birds.

 

3. This race is only a bit of fun and I feel everyone should have the opportunity to compete equally with 3 birds each.

 

If the nominated race is a difficult or erratic one, most of us might only clock one of our three nominated birds in the club result, if we are lucky and I can't see too many of us timing our nominated 3 birds an hour after the winning pigeon and bringing it to the clubrooms to get it verified. Other club mates would give you too much stick about it.

 

So I feel to give everyone a fair chance we should all have the opportunity to compete on an even keel with 3 birds each. I have all 3 of our entries still , but still feel that its not fair to penalise others for loosing birds through no fault of their own.

 

Thats my view on it anyways but I will go with what the majority feels on it.

What ever the majority wishes is fine with me. But I think they should be able to replace their entry up to a certain amount of time before the race. Some one loft races do that.
