THE FIFER Posted April 13, 2006 Report Posted April 13, 2006 IF U WANT TO KNOW IF THE SHU ARE ON LINE IT'S VERY EASY TO FIND OUT, JUST ASK UR SHU DELEGATE, THEY ARE THE COUNCIL THEY SHOULD KNOW, IF NOT THEY CAN SOON FIND OUT, PERSONALLY I DO NOT THINK THEY ARE, AND I AGREE THEY SHOULD BE, BUT ONCE AGAIN ITS UP TO THE MEMBERS TO TELL THEM WHAT THEY WANT, IF THEY ARE TOLD BY THE MEMBERS OR COUNCIL THEY DO IT.
Guest Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 i asked our shu delegate at our last council meeting that very question and he did not know either fifer Now we all know the shu does not listen to the majority of there members any way fifer, we all know trough past experience's but i aint going down that road. Just get up to date SHU.
THE FIFER Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 ITS STILL UP TO UR DELEGATES TO GET IN WITH WHAT THEY WANT AND IF THE MAJORITY TELL THEM SO THEY MUST DO IT, AND AS FAR AS SHU NOT KEEPING UP TO DATE THEY WERE WELL AHEAD OF THE RPRA REGARDING MEMBERS KEEPING THERE BIRDSIN, LOOK AT THE ANSWER CLOCKMAN GOT BACK FROM THEM WHEN HE ASKED WHY THEIR MEMBERS WERE LETTING THEIR BIRDS OUT, ANSWER " DON'T KNOW" IS THAT WHAT U CALL KEEPING UP TO DATE. ANYWAY LETS NOT GET INTO THIS, LET'S CONCENTRATE ON GETTING THINGS BACK TO NORMAL. BUT WHAT WE NEED IS TO GET OUR DELEGATES TO DO WHAT WE THE MEMBERS WANT AND NOT WHAT THEY WANT, THEY ARE MESSENGERS.
Guest Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 LETS GET ON WITH THE RACING NOW----WELL FOR SOME :'( :'( :'( I CAN'T WAIT TO LET THEM OUT :-/
westburylofts Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 Hi Dad Hope it will not be to long before you can get the birds out. Then start racing Will keep thinking of you lads up there all the best RAY
Guest Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 don't worry about Dad Ray, he's got a bird racing here this weekend for him and for good measure I'm pooling him
THE FIFER Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 birds can be let out for a couple of hrs a day starting from tommorow but not to let them sit about the roofs,
Guest Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 fifer thats what the r.p.r.a told its members so your not that far ahead.
THE FIFER Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 when did the rpra tell its members that because yesterday they told them to obey the scottish executive which was to keep them in. look at the answer he gave clockman yesterday , "HE DID'NT KNOW WHY U WERE LETTING THEM OUT " so when did they tell u to let them out.
THE FIFER Posted April 14, 2006 Report Posted April 14, 2006 READ THE REPLY HENRIK GOT FROM RPRA YESTERDAY (REPLY 144) SO U MUST BE GETTING DIFFERENT INFO FROM RPRA, ANYWAY ITS GETTING BETTER SO MORE TO DO NOW WITH THE BIRDS.THAT'S WHAT COUNTS.
Guest Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 Able to confirm after telephone call today that the SHU Secretary has email facilities, with a website coming later this year. Delegates requested this earlier in the year. While it is acknowledged that not every pigeon fancier has a computer, never mind access to the web, it is also acknowledged that Fed & Club secretaries (normally) do, and they can receive info from the SHU by email and distribute it quickly. Club Secretaries can also make the facility available to members. On the subject of how people talk to one another: one or two posts from one person in particular complaining about how he/she was dealt with / spoken to. Two-way street. Can't tell genuine folk to f*off in a PM then complain about others.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 THIS IS GOOD NEWS ,UNLESS SOMEBODY COMES ON AND ASKS WHATS GOOD ABOUT IT.
Guest Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 Hold on one minute BRUNO, i sincerely hope that your last post was not aimed at me because you may be used to using that language but i aint. I am a very polite person so expect the same back especially when phoning about a query. Dont judge people on how many post's he or she has made.
THE FIFER Posted April 15, 2006 Report Posted April 15, 2006 CHEERS BRUNO, CAN WE GET THEIR E-MAIL ADDRESS,
Guest Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 CHEERS BRUNO, CAN WE GET THEIR E-MAIL ADDRESS, Sorry, I don't have that yet. Think the 'silence' may have something to do with getting office staff trained up.
THE FIFER Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 CHEERS BRUNO AT LEASED WE ARE GOING FORWARD, I AM SURE OUR WEB MASTER WOULD BE A GREAT HELP AS FAR AS THEIR WEB SITE IS CONCERNED, I THINK I WILL GIVE SECY A PHONE TOMORROW, AS WE COULD BENIFIT A LOT BEING ABLE TO CONTACT THROUGH THE NET, WE KNOW SOME FANCIERS ARE NOT ON THE PC BUT THE ONES WHICH ARE CAN ALWAYS SPREAD THE NEWS,
fifestay Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Jeezo here we go again.... the SHU are terrible the RPRA are great brigade. The RPRA are correct in saying that surely grown men and women can look at the Law and realise what it means ...cant they??????.. if fanciers as it seems in Fife are choosing to ignore the law they put us all at risk ...and make no mistake people have been flouting this and putting racing at risk for all of us. NO BRAINERS

NO BRAINERS I thought it odd that page 72 of this week's Homing World carried an advert from the Kingdom RPA stating that next weekend's breeder / buyer sale had been cancelled due to Avian Flu restrictions in the area. Odd in that they know this bit of the restrictions, yet not the bit about keeping their birds indoors.
Guest Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 Odd in that they know this bit of the restrictions WHAT RESTRICTIONS LOL :D
Guest Posted April 16, 2006 Report Posted April 16, 2006 According to the front page of Thursday's Falkirk Herald (13th April) Fanciers in Central Scotland would have been affected by the same ban if Falkirk Council had gotten what it appears to want:- EXTRACT 'Falkirk ready to face bird flu threat'. ...Bob Main, head of Falkirk Council's environmental services said the authority was in regular communication with national agencies.... ...Councillor Bob Spiers convenor of environmental & heritage committee revealed there were 50 sites within the Council's boundaries where significant numbers of birds were kept..... he urged the Scottish Executive to look again at the protection zones set up ......... perhaps we should be looking at urging people with poultry in this area to keep them indoors, after all we are only on the other side of the Forth..... Would have taken out fanciers / clubs in the Scottish Midand, North West and Central Feds, and Cumbria Fed (Forth Bridges club )
THE FIFER Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 yes bruno there are those who just panic without thinking, and do not know what they are about, let's listen to the ones which know.
Chris Little Posted April 17, 2006 Report Posted April 17, 2006 The thing is though Fifer, is there anyone that really knows what is going on, there is many that think they do. No point in worrying about something we cannot control. Bruno - could you clarify what you mean about the Cumbrian Fed Cheers Chris
