Intelligence or Body or eye witch is the most important And how do we recognize it HOW can a mate of my en  come and look at my birds NOT handle them just look and say that will win hes done it many times well 4 or 5 times                    .           YOURS    IN SPORT                            BOB :o :o

i think so  iv got a few  with that dum look but yet iv got a few that i could put money on I know they will not let me down And i suppose But that's insight is it . knowing what a birds as done but Im on about stand off looking at thirty day old young en and seeing something in a certain bird and knowing it will do well that's what i want to know  fifer  because i ca-rent see intelligence                                .yours in sport    BOB

Bob,

I think you can spot this "trait" in young birds. I often spot it when weaning babies.

They seem to be that bit more alert to there surroundings or perhaps more inquisitive to whats going on or perhaps its that they are more confident.

There is definately something about them which makes me take more of a liking to them, though I have never measured this against results later in life other than to say I ahve a liking for all the adult birds that I keep

That's what my mate says he says he will look over is shoulder to see a young en watching him while scraping the loft He say he looks for that alert look but still i carent see it maybe not bean observant at all better open my eyes                         .lol     yours in sport        BOB
