Widowers on open hole

What does anyone think about Widowhood cocks on open hole in the mornings. Will it make them fitter or is it more important to keep them shut up resting. Wondered if anyone ever tried it. I let them out same time every day and back in for feed at the same time but thought about letting them clap about in the mornings.

 

Interested to know your thoughts guys.

widowmaker i think you are best sticking to what you are doing,i once did the same thing and they seem to loose their form as they wernt exercising hard and as its early still in the season they wont have reached there best yet, ROUTINE WINS RACES MATE

i think if you would like to put birds on open hole it should be natural birds

nothing wrong with that ideal if your looking at a special race,but might not work for run of the mill type races,might not be fitter,but happeir,that`s just as important

its a good idea my old man has done it with good results,ive also read reports of it being done in belgium if i can find it ill let you know.as for routine they would soon get into the routine.despite what a lot of people think pigeons a very adaptable creatures.there are no right or wrong ways,good look and keep us updated if you do give it a go.

We leave ours out in the afternoon - soak up the PM sun (when its there).   Brings on form increases contentment - jobs a good 'un

Only when weather dictates - when it doesn't they stay in the loft totally - no exercise at all
