CREBAG Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 any early libs home yet? what vels are they doing????
Diamond dave Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 MNFC Portsmouth Probably one of the shortest at 91 miles - timer doing 1580. This in the most westerly part of the SE section - They will slaughter us on the East side today. I bet they are doing close to 2000ypm.
RAMA Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 dont be haisty its not fit to fly a kite up here in yorkshire been raining heavily since 7 this morning RICHARD
TheSaddler Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Shocking weather in the midlands today - Both feds up from Kingsdown and Exeter. Pigeons very wet - but returns good and most birds all home in minutes. Best (club racing - not MNFC) Velocities in the mid 1700's
Mike Lycett Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Saddler We're in the 1720's Worcester fed. Could've knocked 30 secs off that but not to worry
TheSaddler Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Mike, My bird in worcester fed doing 1707 - Bird sat on loft though.. Should have been doing aroung 1722. Exeter birds faster 1735 - but i've heard of birds that may be beating that. Whats the weather like at your end? We've had rain/drizzle for most of the day - I presume that many would have had trouble getting the birds in the pen today because of the conditions..
Mike Lycett Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Hi Mate Exeter birds will be faster mate - they're more Westerly than Kingsdown so extract that bit extra benefit from the wind. We're on 04:17 on the clock flying 151 miles. I'd guess we could've shaken 03:40 ish at a push - just so happens it wasn't one of the better trappers that come. As I say not to worry. Been rain/drizzle all day, but we've had a NW wind all day too.
AlanWilkins Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Black country at Newton Abbott 2-30 doin 1728.49 but very gappy again all home now so thats a bonus
TheSaddler Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Mike, I timed in the hen in my avatar - She's already won the worcester fed at Kingsdown and also been 8th Worcester Fed (pipped by Houdini in 7th - last ob race 2005) - She always flys well at Kingsdown - But she never goes in the loft - shes just flutters forwards and backwards between the two lofts, its probably because I've timed her in too much over the last couple of seasons.. The wind is strong westerley by me - I'd say our area was in prime position for the fed today...
Guest shadow Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Our birds were at fareham 195 mls my velocity 1655
Guest Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 We were at wadebridge today with the London and Southeast Classic club and I was doing 2200
Marky5 Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 We raced from kingsdown 143 miles velocity 1791 lost about 30 seconds though with trap.
Mike Lycett Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 1st club by a clear minute down here. Seen the MNFC result! Guy is 98ypm clear of 2nd Open - Cooper Mitchell top our section FIVE HUNDRED YARDS A MINUTE behind the Open winner!!!
Guest Posted May 20, 2006 Report Posted May 20, 2006 Despite the weather we've had 3 decent races, C Race. 1418 ypm A race 1303 B race 1393. Some got B before A Clocky did good today he was only 20 minutes behind the first drop of three in the B Race and we had a drop of 5 in the A race Sent 30 have 23 in the clock
