Guest Posted May 24, 2006 Report Posted May 24, 2006 The United Kingdom will be well represented in this race, we are entering several birds who's parents and Grandparents come from the United Kingdom. Our favourite is Shokanaw 1830- grandson of Dean Pallets Van Reets, our second favourite is 1508 son of The Late John Yates" Champion Foo fighter GB S66846 from the Warwickshire Fed. Birds from NEHU 96 Tee 13039 bred by Steve Proffit and last but not least a cock and a hen bred from GB 97 S 60069 Barker Cock bred by Franny Forrester , of Stacksteads, Bacup Lancs. Lets hope the Union Jack is flying high this weekend
peterpau Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Best o' luck Hyacinth. Warwichire birds are as good as any in the world.
Guest Posted May 25, 2006 Report Posted May 25, 2006 Thanks Peter, Ole 1508 is a good pigeon. We may not go up Saturday, we have a cold front moving in from the Pacific, which cause snow at over 4,500 ft., and the birds have to go above that altitude to get over the Ococho Range. We have a different race controller for the State Races and there is no way he'll put the birds up if he is any doubt at all. May not please some though libbing on Sunday, but the pigeons come first and foremost.
