westy Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 me and barlbylofts were asked if we were gay then got told then we got told we were gay and then got told to *expletive removed* off by someone called "girdy" who said he was from edinborough in scotland who was ment to be 12. it is terrible.
Guest Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 Just you let me know when this butthole is in the Chatroom again
Peckedhen Posted May 22, 2006 Report Posted May 22, 2006 The trouble with the internet, Westy, is that you never can be sure if a person is really who they say they are. My advice is, if someone says something you don't like, don't even give them the satisfaction of a response, just log off!

Don't think a 'True Scot fae Embry' would spell our capital city like that Westy. Would echo advice given earlier by Peckedhen, be careful of strangers on the net, some are even wierder ;D than pigeon folks! ;D
Ross Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 I can handle most instances of abuse myself, however it is now summer time and as such it's becoming less and less likely that I will be home and have time for the pc. That said, the easiest thing to do is ignore them, if someone is making an *expletive removed* of him or herself. Here's and examply of how to use the igmore option: type this "/ignore girdy" (without the quotes). That's it that's all of course "girdy" would be replaced by whatever nickname one wishes to ignore. you can also send a pm to auto bot with the name of the person/s causing problems, please include the date and time of the issue however, this will make it easier for me when I am looking through the log files.
keano Posted May 28, 2006 Report Posted May 28, 2006 the trouble with the internet you can be anyone you want to be

carl Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 i think there should be a stop on the chatroom entrance where if the signin doesnt reckognise a user name then u dont get access , my thoughts rockinrick ;D Seams this aint the first time people have been given abuse in the chatroom but theres always somone out there to P*** others off.Westy just ignore them thats the best way,i find it hard mind and always jump in at the deepend, but thats me. Im sure its easy for the webmaster to have us sign up to the chat room and use email activation, there as if anyone steps out of line they can be barred from the chat room and the site.
Guest Posted May 29, 2006 Report Posted May 29, 2006 Ross, is there possible for members in the chat - click the idiot to be ingored or not?
Ross Posted June 2, 2006 Report Posted June 2, 2006 If that were possible with the current scripts or planned for the future I would have said so......in other words no, there's no lazy way to ignore someone /ignore nickname it's not complicated
