THE FIFER Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 MAYBE LOOKING FOR HIS OLD HEN, LET HER OUT TO FLY AROUND, BUT SOUNDS TO ME HE HAS BEEN HAWKED OR THE CARRION CROWS ARE ON THE TAKE JUST NOW, I GOT A 2YO HEN HOME FROM THE RACING ON SATURDAY AND SHE HAS GONE MISSING SINCE, I BLAME THE CROWS JUST NOW.
rockinrick Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 i was gonna say it sounds like a hawk take to me
Peckedhen Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Carrion Crows take the birds? Really? I've got loads round me - I thought they were good for scaring the hawks away???
THE FIFER Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 THEY ARE WORSE THAN THE HAWKS, HAWKS KILL TO FEED CARION CROWS KILL IF THEY ARE IN THEIR AREA, AND ALSO FOR FOOD, U MUST WATCH UR YOUNGSTERS BUT THEY WILL ALSO TAKE OLD BIRDS OUT OF THE SKY, THEY ARE VERY INTELLIGENT BIRDS.
Peckedhen Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 Gosh, thanks. The babies that can't fly and sit on the loft roof are very vulnerable then Sorry Snowy - didn't mean to hijack your thread!!
jimmy white Posted May 19, 2006 Report Posted May 19, 2006 did you breed the bird snowy? if not it will be at the old loft, if you did breed it, looks like its met with an accident,,,,hope not
