Pompey Mick Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 When DEFRA revokes the current racing permit on 31st July and re-establishes a new permit which we are led to believe will be a' British Isles only' permit, will the Channel Islands be excluded from the British Isles or will it remain (for the purposes of the permit) within the British Isles as it currently does under the present permit. Surely, as France has declared itself A.I. free, DEFRA can have no objection to us racing from the Channel Isles at the very least.

AND THIS WAS MAINLAND ONLY, IF THEY WON'T LET US RACE FRANCE CAN'T SEE THEM LETTING US RACE GUERNSEY
Guest Posted July 18, 2006 Report Posted July 18, 2006 DEFRA saw fit to tell us what they meant by the British Isles in the current license which will be revoked on Monday 31 July 2006. Definitions ‘British Isles’ for the purposes of this licence includes England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands Don't see how they can go back to the more restrictive one now that the position in France has improved, given that France was the reason Channel Islands were restricted in the first place.
