Webmaster Posted May 5, 2006 Report Posted May 5, 2006 Hi, 'PB' is the Pigeonbasics entry to the RPRA 1 Loft Race . I didnt get a photo of him before he went, but here is one of a brother to him. http://www.pigeonbasics.com/competitions/race/2005/images/birds/thumb/154.jpg He is darker, much like his sire (who also I dont have a photo of at the mo). Anyhow this topic is to track his progress :) Fingers Crossed 8) Richard

Webmaster Posted May 12, 2006 Author Report Posted May 12, 2006 Second I'd be well happy with :) No I havent heard anything since sending our entry, would hope the website gets updated soon
Blue Chequer Posted May 13, 2006 Report Posted May 13, 2006 I think the first you will hear about your entries will be when they start the training tosses and you will see how your birds are doing. A few of us formed a syndicate and sent 7 birds last year and some did quite well in the training and Hot-spot races but failed at the final hurdle. Some of our entries hardly featured at all, biting the dust very early. Last year it was hard to imagine that almost two thirds of the entry were lost before the final race. Our only entry to return from the final race was bred by Neil Robinson (Zetland Lad) We have sent 9 this year and are hoping for better things.
PIGEON_MAN Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT THE GUYS WHO RUN THE 1 LOFT RACE TIM AND JEREMY DAVIES ARE MEMBERS OF OUR CLUB AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY YOUR BIRDS COULD NOT BE IN BETTER HANDS,THEY HAVE INFACT WON ALL OUR 5 RACES UP TO NOW SO THEY CERTAINLY KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING.I MENTIONED TO JEREMY THIS LAST WEEKEND THAT SOME MEMBERS ON PIGEONBASICS WERE CONCERNED THAT THERE HAD BEEN NO NEWS ON THE WEBSITE BUT HE SAID THE TROUBLE THEY WERE HAVING WAS WITH UNIKON WHO ACTUALLY UPDATE THE SITE,IMFORMATION ON THE BIRDS HAD BEEN SENT TO UNIKON BUT THERE WAS SOME PROBLEM WITH THE GUY WHO UPDATED THE SITE AS HE HAD NOW LEFT UKIKON.
Webmaster Posted June 3, 2006 Author Report Posted June 3, 2006 Thanks for letting us know Tony. Attached photos of the parents. Darker Grizzle is the cock, lighter the hen. The birds are John Harcus' (thanks for the loan ), who topped the Fife Fed (3,200 birds) from Ripon last week with a hen bred from this pair, the hen also won 3rd club the week before from Otterburn.

mealybar Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Looking at the training updates we are still in there; First 20 miler; 390th but on the drop with the rest. Second Toss 20 miles; 468th a little off the first ones, but they were more broken up, looks like she came with a main batch Third toss; 596th, but only 1 min after the first bird. Hopefully her trapping will improve for the main races :)
mealybar Posted July 24, 2006 Report Posted July 24, 2006 Didnt get sent to today's toss - dont know why. Couldnt even beat the other 5 that didnt go training to the trap :B ;D Alan how is yours getting along?
AlanWilkins Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Lost the pair never even saw a basket. Only thing i want to know now is if they get reported can i get them back as ill put them in the stock loft.
mealybar Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Sorry to hear that. I think if they get back they send you a letter for first refusal.
