Guest Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 how would it be introduced and wot would it make better?
Guest Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 heading should read...into the sport to make things equal or better
Guest Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Gentlemanly/Ladylike conduct, Good sportsmanship The ability to sincerely congratulate a winner without wanting to stab him/her in the back
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 DONT THINK YOU CAN MAKE THINGS EQUAL BECAUSE THERE ARE TOO MANY FACTORS THAT WOULD COME IN TO THIS WHERE YOU LIVE COMPARED TO YOUR NEAREST RIVAL I KNOW THATS WHAT THE VELOCITIES DO BUT IN SOME RACES SOME BIRDS HAVE TO FACE MORE HURDLES TO GET HOME IN THE SAME RACE, THE ONLY RACES I THINK OF THAT ARE TRULY EQUAL RACE WISE ARE THE ONE LOFT RACES WHERE ALL THE BIRDS ARE RACING TO THE SAME PLACE
jimmy white Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Gentlemanly/Ladylike conduct, Good sportsmanship The ability to sincerely congratulate a winner without wanting to stab him/her in the back in a nut shell, i think we all have to strive for that.
fifestay Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 Let the Doos race the men and women ;D ;D ;D Take them in a bus drop them off and let them walk home start 25 miles. Just to make it interesting prior to Lib put them in a confined space with a nutter next to the water and food then you open up the bus and every one piles out better be ready in case you get crushed for at one night. Just to make it interesting let some hounds(hawks) chase them, and set up the odd hides with folk firing guns. ooh and by the way no food or water stations :o Of course this is just stupid as we are the superior beings : : :
fifestay Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 On a serious note looking at the transporting Birds and the requirement to annually vaccinate ....... its a money making nonesense ....we all know folk who dont do it and there is no outbreak of param. Dont have to jag annually in belgium
collect500 Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 maybe right fife but for wot it costs think i,d rather be safe than sorry
andyb Posted October 1, 2006 Report Posted October 1, 2006 dont think it will ever be equal but do believe that the more you put in the more you get out
Guest Paulo Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 good sportsmanship something sadly lacking in a lot of piegon fanciers. It never ceases to amaze me the excuses people come up with why they were beat and the slagging off the people who win get behind their back. At the end of the day these people are there to beat they are not invincable if your management isn't up to the job change it, if your birds aren't up to the job get rid of them, When I was fighting in thai boxing if I got beat I would always shake the other guys hand and not be negative about it because he was better than me plain and simple. Then I would anaylse when I had went wrong i.e. training or the fact he was just better. If it was training I would train harder for the next one. Some pigeon fanciers just seem to like whining about loosing through rather than do anything constructive or put extra work in to win.
RoryTheRed Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Humans are a herd race and follow the group because they feel safe and secure within the group. Naturally there are more losers than winners every week so the the losers(followers) feel secure within their group talking about the bad trap, next doors barking dog, er indoors mother etc while the winner sits alone or with thinking fliers who have the strength to be independent. Remember that these fliers have been conditioned to act in this way from early childhood when they picked on the brainbox kids at school; those kids were a challenge to the group, they were different!! Just be a good winner and an even better loser ;D
fifestay Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 Great sentiment ..... But I WANT TO WIN however never quite mastered to be a brilliant loser( Just try and work out what made the difference would rebuke myself not the person that beat me. PS am great at tiddlywinks
