jordanp31 Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 I have notice that some of my birds are missing patches of feathers on their neck. The patches without feathers are about the size of a ten pence. When i checked under some of the feathers around the bare patches i saw loads of long and thin like lice and i just wondered what i can do to get rid of them because they seem to be irritating my birds and they are making them look very rough... any input really appretiated :-/
Wiley Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 your birds should be moulting aroudn this time so its generally the case for the bare patches, for lice you should be able to buy any bird, cage and aviary spray in a petshop to deal with the lice ;D
Guest Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 hiya m8, if u got lice/mite ,ur find theres loads of treatments around. look in the british homing world each week and ur see loads. remember that this time of year ur birds should be moulting and losing feathers!
THE FIFER Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 GOOD STRONG GARLIC WATER IN THEIR BATH, OR PUT SOME IN A SPRAY BOTTLE AND SPRAY UR BIRDS WITH IT
