I have heard that the CSCFC may well be closing the Cricklade marking station just leaving Frome ,Poole and Winchester. That will leave the NW and NE sect members with long journies to mark. Both sections will i belive lose quite a considrable membership .

WE ARE UP NEAR WORCESTER THE FURTHEST FLYERS I BELIEVE IN THE NW SECTION  AND IF THIS IS THE CASE I THINK WE WILL ALL BE RESIGNING.AT ONE TIME IT WAS GREAT WHEN THE CHELTENHAM MARKING STATION WAS OPEN THERE WAS A LOT OF MEMBERS UP AROUND THIS AREA.LAST YEAR SOME RESIGNED BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THAT CRICKLADE WOULD ALSO CLOSE BUT THEN REJOINED BECAUSE THE CSCFC DECIDED TO GO NORTH,BUT WHAT A FIASCO THAT WAS,I THINK OUR BIRDS TRAVELLED ABOUT 150 MILES TO HAVE A 40 MILE RACE.IF THE CRICKLADE STATION CLOSES AND THE NEAREST ONE IS THEN FROME I THINK IT WILL BE THE END IN MY AREA.

Pigeonman it appears it has been decided to close Cricklade .We have therefore resigned as have quite a large number round here. It would have made more sense to close either Frome or Poole they are close to one another not the only marking station for the NE/NW sections. I fear they will soon cease to exist do they not realise people have to go to work ?.
