dont think i've seen an african owl , my great uncle kept alot of fancy birds and racers as well thats how i got the bug

Chinese owls are a bit nicer looking :)

couple of my chinese owls and a show racer ,i get all my owls from probably the best breeder baout,he hets top cards at every show he enters and has won best in show in germany last yr as well,he's john ottley from folkestone,kent,anyone in the know will have seen his birds

Your right there he has the best birds around and does very very well with them have seen him at alot of the shows I go to

have to agree there alot bonnier, a friend of mine had a bird that had a crest on its head like a crested canary and similar crest around its eyes quite a big bird with feather legs i believe that was an owl but not sure what kind

hey mac 1 i keep german shilde owls their kinda the same but they have a little frill on their front and a crest on their head and the head is a little bit bigger then an affrican owl and i think they are all saddle backs not sure about that and their beak is a bit bigger ...jack...

(p.s i like your birds)

I like the Owls apart from the Africans, not natural being unable to feed there own young!

They all have a fantastic temprement especialy for anybody new to have a go with.

very true phil but 1 thing is they are very calm and fearless for a word so great care must be taken if you have cats around.as i found out...

they look like  the birds  that try to go through the perspex  in a geraldy transporter :X :X :o :'( :)
