"They are great if ya gonna breed early, keeps everything dry and frost free."

100% correct which is why birds don't breed at that time of year!

THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If ya want older birds and fly the light system, nothing is normal, even if ya fly dark or widowhood it,'t not natural. I wouldn't run heaters if I didn't expect to gain something  ::) :X

ive never thought of using loft heaters, my loft is very well ventilated and is kept that way throughout the year and my birds seem to thrive on it-i dont like closed in lofts and like my birds to get as much fresh air as possible, that said i am only a novice with a lot to learn

                           kev ;D ;D

Personally I would not go to that expense when I have reared good young birds for the past 23years wihout resorting to heatersof any kind :)

Hi Guys,

I had the heating installed about 20 months ago, and found it beneficial indeed. It was great for  quickly getting them back into proper condition if they encountered early cold racing days. I also found that it stopped the majority of minor fretting on the early bred winter y.bs.        However, due to pending loft alterations, I will unfortunately have to manage without it.  :(  If anyone is interested, I will be putting it on the "items for sale" slot shortly.  Vic.
