Guest Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 as im secretary of my local club and have been for a few yrs,ive recieved proposals for an increase in birdage charges for 2007(only proposed) they propose that weekly charges will be £6 wether u race that week or not and 30p a bird thereafter. i know this will be cheaper then most feds around the uk ...wot id like to know is there a cheaper federation? recently we was levied £25 each member to go towards a 2nd geraldy trailer..having now(with the new trailer) have enough room for a possible birdage of around 9000 birds. we have average birdage of around 4-5000 most weeks..even reaching beyond 6000..... with clubs switching from north or south road routes. how many do ur fed carry on average?.........paul
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 Paul ;do you mean each memeber of your club pays £6 per week to the fed weather he races or not.
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 All our members pay a week to the fed is the birdage charge, well not to the fed actually to the club who then pays the fed when we get the bill, the club charge 50p per bird down to the coast out of this comes the fed charge for that week which could be anything around 30p depending on how many birds go that week in the fed,the rest goes as prizemoney in the club.
Guest Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 hiya m8 yea each member pays £6 a week to the fed from all clubs...for the 1st 20 birds...then thereafter they want us to pay 30p a bird.......last year we was paying £5 1st 20 birds and 25p a bird thereafter this year we paid £6 a week 1st 20 then 25p a bird after that.
PIGEON_MAN Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 paul, sounds good when you first read it send 20 birds for £6.the minimum for me would be £10,but yours all go to the fed,how do you get any prize money in the club.
Guest Posted November 16, 2006 Report Posted November 16, 2006 our club manages to run on a shoe string budget,..we each pay £50 ayear to the club and 50p each week to the club. we might be tight lol, then again we may have it down to a tee. usually 26 races we are not a big club so finances are quite low....paul
