A tail that forms narrow showing only a single tail feather on top!!!

 

Place the pigeon in two hands, part the wings with your thumbs and you should see a shape the resembles the shape of the top half of a bottle of wine.

 

More important in middle distance pigeons than Long distance or out and out sprinters. It help achieve speed over distance.
