Wiley Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 alot of wild birds struggle to get grain and food over this period of year. Do any of you keep your pigeons abit on the short side to possibly get down there fat ect. I personally have been feeding a 50/50 mix and missing out one day of feeding per week. But now there going on a bit more harder grain as i intend to pair up in the next 9 days but then they'll be back on 50/50 once laid!
THE FIFER Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 i like to keep them happy not hungry in the cold wether, but would cut them down if they were getting too fat, as they are not getting out just now as its iether the hawks or the crows on the go in the park next to me thats 2 bundles of pigeon feathers i found there but no carcus or rings so something is taking the lot, the crows dont leave anything and they usually finish off the hawks meal although the crows are capable of killing themselves.
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 WOULD NOT THINK ABOUT MISSING OUT A DAYS FEED WILEY, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOUR MAW SAID YOU WERE GETTING NOTHING TO EAT THE MORN ? :)
