AT OUR FED AGM A PROPOSAL WAS PUT FORWARD AND WAS UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED THAT OUR CONVOYER WOULD BE ISSUED WITH A CAMERA/PHONE SO HE CAN SEND BACK IMAGES OF WHAT THE WEATHER IS LIKE AT TIME OF LIBERATION, WHAT ARE OTHERS OPINIONS AND DO ANY OTHER FEDS USE ANYTHING LIKE THIS ?

a couple of years back i brought this up with my fed when i was president, the idea was to have cameras on board so u could see ur birds etc on ur pc dont know how this was going to work,it was an idea but no one was interested.at that time, but yes a camera would be good for convoyers,

it all depend's how trust worthy the convoyer is their's nothink to stop him from taking pics of nice sunny days and then sending these when infact it pissing down thick fog gale force winds ect.

just my thought's  :P

u can put the date and time on the camera, i have a good one small but takes pictures and video,

they might say they have enough to do without trying to photo the liberation if you have never seen what a liberation looks like try to go and see one that is close to you and see for yourself everything that happens within a time frame of a few seconds ;)

IT'S A GREAT IDEA AND IT WILL LET EVERYBODY SEE WHAT IS HAPPENING AT THE RACE POINT ;)

TAMMY YOUR IN CHARGE OF GETTING THE PICTURES POSTED ON THE PIGEON SITES ON A SATURDAY ;) ;D ;D

ITS NOT A MATTER OF CHOICE WHETHER THEY HAVE SO MUCH TO DO OR NOT IT WAS A PROPOSITION THAT WAS PUT FORWARD  AND UNANIMOUSLY VOTED ON AT THE AGM, BUT THE CONVOYER WAS NOT THERE SO HE COULD NOT MAKE ANY REMARKS AND FUNNILY ENOUGH I CANT REMEMBER SEEING HIM AT ANY MEETINGS RECENTLY

;D Exellent idea i would welcome this for our fed, would shut a few up , and if necessary give us ammunition if there were any questions ??         andy 8)

A laptop and a webcam would be good as you could actually watch the liberation. But then its all down to cost and techy know how.Would be great to have siting spots across the route home as well with cams set up :)

Imagine that.Probably to far in the future still for the pigeon sport.A pity as the technology is there allready .maybe if we could get Sky sports to start sponsoring pigeon racing lol imagine a helicopter with a chase cam on :).

Remember well when two top National clubs bah hoo - ed it out... and not so long ago at that either! Personally I believe it's a great, realistic, besides a very sensible move and wish all power to their elbow. Who knows perhaps the NFC AND MNFC will follow suit. Can't for love or money – and I love both lol - why they have objected before. Shows only to well the minds of so - called leaders / committee, people on our top tables why the sport - largely because of them as such - is in decline with all the negative, and often for selfish reason hold back logical progress. You can't stand still, you either move forward or backwards, and time waits for no man!

CRACKING CAMERAS ARCHIE BUT I THINK A MOBILE PHONE IS THE CHEAPEST AND EASIEST WAY OF GETTING THE PICTURES BACK TO SOURCE ;)

IF THE PICTURES WERE SENT TO SAY TAMMY HE COULD POST THEM ON THIS SITE BEFORE THE BIRDS HAD EVEN BEEN LIBERATED!

THUS THE CONVOYER CAN LET US ALL SEE IF IT WAS OK TO LET THE BIRDS UP ;) ;D ;D

My local club has also put a similar proposal in for the AGM this year also. For the committee to put a camera of some sort into each of the transporter to both record the liberation as well as the birds being fed and watered on the lorries. This was submitted as a result of a lot of fanciers' birds both old and young homing in a very dehydrated state from short races when temperatures wheren't excessive and liberations took place am.

it would be great to see pics of your libs, but i notice a lot of distrusting fanciers, regarding race controllers , ass  race controllers , convoyers,,, they are voted in because the majority trust them, most of these are dedicated hard workers doing , sometimes a thankless job,yes it would be nice to see pics , but a little more trust of the fanciers voted in, to do these jobs,  would not go amiss .
