Tip dont forget it's a sprint race  ;)

iv put mine on long distance even though it's ONLY 174 MILES to my loft  :o

didn't do my home work well did i  :-/ ?

so i think i will require more ring's to put on sprinters :-/

Been talking to My dad this morning and he said that we are not going to bother getting any more Fut rings as we have some £10 fed rings to use.

Sean, i think ive put one on a distance bird (one of our ybs from a 600 miler)  too, because just my luck that it will go in the wrong direction first, so it doesnt matter.

@ 174 miles if i get them back i will be happy, which shouldnt be too much of a flying problem, its just our birds normally race up the east side, this means a crossover somewhere from west/middle to east side.

good luck to all those who have bought rings, i may try and pick a young bird up at one of the breeder/buyer sales for this race, as any bird of mine would probably set off in the wrong direction lol

on a funny note  one of my youngbirds i sent to the 1st race at bubworth about 67 miles south this year did just that and was reported in cambridgshire needless to say i was relived when the fancier was willing to accept a transfer  :B :B

I think ours head south too for the sun, but dont seem to get many back that go missing.

Had one of our hens come back 2 days late from a race, she was covered in oil, and still managed to fly home, shes is doing fine after a good clean up. Paired her to a nice young cock that was flying quite well from 240-250 miles, so hopefully the ybs will have some determination too.
