Guest CS Posted January 20, 2007 Report Posted January 20, 2007 anyone know how many left as i may need a couple more? Don't know but you need to give them a ring.
Sean Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Tip dont forget it's a sprint race iv put mine on long distance even though it's ONLY 174 MILES to my loft didn't do my home work well did i :-/ ? so i think i will require more ring's to put on sprinters :-/
davebuttle Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 wer do u fly from dave im in co/durham Hi Mac, we race from Newton Aycliffe part of the Mid Durham South. Dave
davebuttle Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Don't know but you need to give them a ring. Been talking to My dad this morning and he said that we are not going to bother getting any more Fut rings as we have some £10 fed rings to use.
davebuttle Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 Tip dont forget it's a sprint race iv put mine on long distance even though it's ONLY 174 MILES to my loft didn't do my home work well did i :-/ ? so i think i will require more ring's to put on sprinters :-/ Sean, i think ive put one on a distance bird (one of our ybs from a 600 miler) too, because just my luck that it will go in the wrong direction first, so it doesnt matter. @ 174 miles if i get them back i will be happy, which shouldnt be too much of a flying problem, its just our birds normally race up the east side, this means a crossover somewhere from west/middle to east side. Dave
Keepsmilingqueen Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 good luck to all those who have bought rings, i may try and pick a young bird up at one of the breeder/buyer sales for this race, as any bird of mine would probably set off in the wrong direction lol on a funny note one of my youngbirds i sent to the 1st race at bubworth about 67 miles south this year did just that and was reported in cambridgshire needless to say i was relived when the fancier was willing to accept a transfer :B :B
davebuttle Posted January 21, 2007 Report Posted January 21, 2007 I think ours head south too for the sun, but dont seem to get many back that go missing. Had one of our hens come back 2 days late from a race, she was covered in oil, and still managed to fly home, shes is doing fine after a good clean up. Paired her to a nice young cock that was flying quite well from 240-250 miles, so hopefully the ybs will have some determination too.
