GypUK Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 And Tipplers come to think of it? Can anybody help me please?
OLDYELLOW Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 rollers are more of a uncontrolled roll where as tumbers tend to do a controlled roll , tipplers im not sure
Guest peter.j Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 tipplers are high fliers they range around your loft for up to 24 hrs the competitions involve a kit of tipplers and the amount of time they are up

Guest peter.j Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 no chris i put them in my eyes when im off into town so i look hard 8)
Guest ljb107 Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 old yellow is right. tumblers do controlled flips and rollers do uncontrolled 'rolls' tipplers just fly for long periods of time. Lloyd
Merlin Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 There is nothing "uncontrolled" about a Rollers roll, back to original question a Tumbler flips over, once or twice A Roller goes into a tight ball and spins varying depths like a cricket ball hurtling downwards at high velocity, and is capable of stopping in an instant, and back to kit to repeat the process ,so much for uncontrolled, its in control all the while ,Tipples fly high from anything from 3 to 23 hrs
hicky Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 merlin mate wait till you come over and see my tumblers mine roll about 4 foot if they flip they am gone
newbold Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 i agree with oldyellow when i had rollers some times my rollers dident stop and hit floor and sometimes they killed them selves so i d say uncontrold
Guest youngzimmy Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 tumblers you drink out of rollers you put in your hair
Merlin Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 ;D Those are Badges Chris and as such are a working breed those W/O/E mostly are now only capable of flipping over, like most other tumblers Newbold;d,what about the ones that can stop Roller Fanciers have kits of em. youngzimmy, you do have some strange habits, rollers in your hair ? ;D ;D ;D Wish everyone on site a Very Happy New Year.
OLDYELLOW Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 was a nice reference to breeding rollers on the silence of the lambs film i think it was aimed at making the point they roll to the ground ineffect killing themselves but more graphic
Guest joshdonlan Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 the ones that roll and hit the floor are called rolldowns and they are culls, not what you want. Josh
bewted Posted December 31, 2008 Report Posted December 31, 2008 i heard from roller men that if you keep your roll downs and pair to one not so good at rolling it will even it self out in time, but, only keeping the best ybs of them, dont know if this is true !!!
